On the 25/06/1916 listed as wounded. He was again admitted to hospital on the 13th April 1917 noted as Gunshot wound thigh right, slight, wounded Arras 9th April whilst serving with A Company, Attached 13th Battalion Liverpool Regiment . On the 15/11/1918 a War Department report lists him again as wounded. He survived the war.
