1937 Pattern Attributed Commonwealth Battledress Jacket New Zealand Issue Dated 1941

1937 Pattern Battledress Jacket. Khaki woollen, single breasted, tailored open collar, short jacket.  Lower belt with plated buckle fixing.  Pleated chest pockets with hidden button flaps  .Shoulder straps with brass Captains rank stars . Internal New Zealand makers stamp dated "Sep 1941"  . Ink name "Capt Clark . Wilts" . Some minor service wear.

David Graham Clark (Service Number 99796) . 2nd Lt 1/10/39 . Temp Captain 1/4/41 . Captain 30/3/44 . Acting Major Clark was awarded the Military Cross in recognition of his gallant and distinguished services during the Italian Campaign. His award came during a critical phase of the war in Italy, which included major Allied pushes such as the breakthroughs at the Gustav Line and the advance toward Rome.
