Soft light tan chrome leather 'flying-style' crown with fur-trimmed fold down lower brim and peak .Leather crown strap with a leather covered single pronged buckle that could be secured under the chin or over the head . Internal crown lined with chamois with lower fur . The top with makers label 'Adastra' supplied by George H. Leavey & Co. Ltd dated 1918 with faint size . An official variant of the fur-lined flying cap, this fur-trimmed WRAF cap was made to offer motorcylists and drivers, in their open element vehicles some protection from the cold weather. Remains in clean condition with just minor wear to the label .
