Un-touched barn find Original steel helmet .Khaki green painted crown .The left side with red and blue Royal Artillery painted flash . Black treated linen liner ,the frame dated 1939 ? with first pattern oval rubber crown pad . Sprung webbing chinstrap . Some heavy service wear . The exterior with paint flaking and rusting . Liner well worn with part of frame absent . Chinstrap damaged . Left as found but a most original barn find helmet . If items could talk this helmet would have a great story waiting to be told !
