Gilt brass collar stud button . Top glass still with half its covering white paint finish , that would be fully removed to show the escape compass spinner . Together with a passport size photo of Major Instone

Developed by Christopher Clayton Hutton at M.I 9 . Would have been fitted to a service shirt collar

Part of this Historically important collection of escape items that belonging to Major .G. Instone . Military Medal winner for escape and evasion from Dunkirk in 1940 through France and Spain being held in prison there and then back to the U.K . He then saw service with the Intelligence Corps and M.I 9
