Khaki single breasted high collar doublet .Pleated chest pockets and lower bag pockets all with buttoned flaps .Gauntlet cuffs with leather edging.Collar never badged. Lower cuffs with brass R.S.M badges on a scarlet backing , traces of his earlier rank badges further up the cuff. The left cuff with single gilt braid wound stripe . Medal ribbons to the left chest . Brass Seaforth shoulder titles to both shoulder straps (not a perfect pair).Both upper arms with embroidery 48th Infantry Division formation badges. Brass Seaforth Highlanders buttons polished over years of wear (typical senior N.C.Os ) Cotton lining with tailors label to the collar. Minor wear .

Fantastic RARE tunic for an Impressive long serving soldier.

Attributed to R.S.M  Andrew "tug" Wilson ,served WW1 with 2nd battalion from 1915 in France . Promoted Colour Sergeant 1926 and India general service medal with bar North West Frontier 30-31, Re joined the regiment September 1939 as a Company Sergeant Major serving in France 1940 ,1942 fought at El Alamein ,wounded in North Africa Jan 1943, 1943 landed in Sicily, Mention in dispatches Jan 1944 Middle East,Killed at 11th Infantry training centre December 1945 . Total of 28 years service .
