A rare set of 'Salvas' half-hour self-contained oxygen breathing apparatus made by Siebe, Gorman and Company Limited .The breathing apparatus consists of a steel cylinder of oxygen gas, rubber proofed twill breathing bag, and an absorbent canister .All supported with canvas straps . Rubber mouthpiece conected by a corrigated hose and a seperate nose clip . As used during WW2 by Submarine escape crews and also by N.F.S and A.F.S Fire crews during house searches .
