Rare 1941 Dated Royal Artillery 1st Pattern Dispatch Riders Helmet

One of the best original early pattern dispatch riders helmets you will find.

Green fabric covered cork fibre dome crown . The left side with painted Royal Artillery coloured diamond . The front of the helmet withlarge painted red and blue square .Brown leather sweatband dated "1941" size "7.1/4 " . linen webbing crown liner straps. Leather ear flaps with cotton lining .  Leather chinstrap .  Some very minor service wear to the exterior . Hard to get an earlier dated helmet in this condition.

This pattern was also worn by early Glider Pilots.
